Great brushes that can hold a large amount of paint. Perfect for larger flat areas.
Flat CLING ON! Brushes
Important! DO NOT remove the strings at the base of the round and oval brushes. This helps the brush keep its shape.
BEFORE USING YOUR CLING ON! BRUSH
Let your CLING ON! absorb some water, so it gets the proper flex. Soak the tip of the bristles in water for approx 20 minutes. Remove excess water by spinning the handle between your hands, and squeeze with some paper towel. The brush needs to be moist, but not dripping with water.
IN BETWEEN COATS
Wrap the ferule and the filamenst of the brush in glad wrap to prevent the paint drying on it, and store in an upright position to prevent moisture flowing back into it.
AFTER COMPLETING YOUR PROJECT
When you finished painting, give your CLING ON! a quick rinse, then hang it in a container (a brush container, a tall glass jar or a large plastic soft drink cup with the brush handle pushed up through the straw opening) keeping the tip hanging in water without touching the bottom. CLING ON! brushes always should be stored this way to maintain the shape and condition.
The filaments are specially treated to release the paint, that is why we call it "self cleaning". The next day a lot of the paint will have left the brush. Refresh water over a few days once a day until all the paint is gone.
Then just rinse the brush, spin out the remaining water, gently squeeze with paper towel, and you are ready to paint again.
CONDITIONING AND DRYING YOUR CLING ON! BRUSH
If you are not going to be using the brush for a while, wash it with a drop of Fusion Brush Cleaner to condition it, shake out excess water and gently squeeze with paper towel. Hang your brush to dry, so the moisture does not flow back into the filaments.
While painting, re-wet the brush as necessary. Keeping the brush damp will prevent paint from hardening on the bristles and minimize brush strokes.
